Ogabor recently made the news after passing a FIFA course in flying colours.
Ogabor reportedly emerged as theOverall Best in Match in Match Analysis Test at the New FIFA Referee Course in Egypt.
At the end of the course that held from June 1- June 5, the Nigerian was given a souvenir to mark his feat by President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Ahmad Ahmad.
Ahmad handed him the souvenir at the closing of the course for the 2017 edition of the new FIFA referees.
Ogabor who is a member of the Cross River State Referees Council in Cross River state is a lecturer in the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education, University of Calabar.
He became a FIFA-badged referee in December 2016.
He joined the Cross River Referee State Council in 2003 and became Grade One in 2009. In 2014 he was elevated to handle NPFL matches until the new status of FIFA referee.
He has however not been without any controversy. In March 2017, he was found guilty of improper action in the South West derby in Ibadan between Shooting Stars and Remo Stars.
